Mookie Betts: Shohei Ohtani's Gambling Investigation Isn't a Distraction to Dodgers

As MLB's investigation into the gambling allegations involving Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, the Los Angeles Dodgers are keeping their focus on the field for the start of the 2024 regular season.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts definitively said "no" when asked if the Ohtani situation has been a distraction for the club.

"We're just focused on business," the seven-time All-Star said. "Taking care of business and that's all we keep first."

MLB announced on March 22 it had opened an investigation into the allegations surrounding Mizuhara.
