NHL Playoff Picture 2024: Updated Standings and Bracket Outlook

Seven NHL teams enter Tuesday with either 97 or 98 points.

The Presidents' Trophy race, as well as the competition for the No. 1 seeds in the Eastern and Western Conferences, should go down to the final few days of the regular season.

In the East, the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins are tied atop the Atlantic Division, while the New York Rangers are a single point ahead of the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars are knotted at 97 points atop the Central Division in the West.

The Vancouver Canucks are the only division leader with some cushion in the standings.
