Wolves’ Rudy Gobert Named Defensive Player of the Year

The NBA announced that Minnesota Timberwolves’ center Rudy Gobert has won his fourth Defensive Player of the Year Award on Tuesday. Gobert joins Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace as the only players to win the award four times in their career.

Gobert averaged 14.0 points, 12.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game this season while anchoring the Timberwolves who led the league in defensive rating.
